A new research paper suggests has suggested that an overwhelming amount of employers prefer to use a broker when searching for dental plan cover.
The paper found that an around 87 per cent of companies believed that brokers offered value for money with an even higher percentage of medium sized companies valuing the services of financial middle men.
The survey was carried out amongst 500 HR decision makers across the country and approximately 91 per cent of medium sized businesses have used a broker to access the dental benefits that they believe offer value for money.
Brokers are able to negotiate better deals for the companies who wish to have them. The use of brokers has risen from 29 per cent in 2011 to 41 per cent in 2012. 34 per cent of the respondents to the survey claimed that gaining market advice was one of the most important reasons for turning to a broker.
It was also noted that 10 per cent of those who took the survey did not see the value in using a broker and instead sought advice of their doing.
